Another Banana Bread Recipe

I think I've got a problem... I can't stop trying new Banana Bread recipes!  I've posted so many here before, and yet... I keep searching for new recipes.  It's really not that hard to find yet, another banana bread to make, everyone has a favorite recipe.  Each one has a slight variation from every other recipe you will find.

My Oldest has loved banana bread for as long as I can remember.  So, when he asked if I had any in the freezer so he could have some... I had to tell him something he didn't want to hear - I was out!  I went through a bit of a baking burnout and he still kept eating the banana bread and eventually it was all gone.
Last weekend, I had some bananas begging to be baked into banana bread!  So, I went searching for another recipe to try.

I found THIS recipe over at For the Love of cooking and loved that it was called "Banana Banana Bread".  The only change to the recipe I made was to add some cinnamin chips to the top of the batter.  I think next time, I might even add some to the batter as well!  I loved the additional cinnamin flavor they added.

So, was this Banana Banana Bread a winner?  My Oldest has had at least 1 to 2 slices each day and finished off the last of it today after school. So, yes, it was a huge hit!  It was nice and moist and full of banana flavor.   I'll make this one again - probably next weeked when my bananas are nice and brown.

Coming later this week, I'll be sharing a fantastic local food event I was able to attend this week!

I was wondering what was on top of the bread when you shared the picture earlier this week. Love the idea of adding the chips. Bread looks awesome.

I have the same problem as you do - I am ALWAYS making banana bread. Works out well because we seem to ALWAYS have over-ripe bananas begging to be baked!

I really don't think there's such a thing as having too many banana bread recipes. Especially not when they're covered in cinnamon chips.

I love cinnamon chips and I bet this was a fantastic bread.

I am the same Patsy! My two favorite Banana Bread recipes? One from allrecipes that I call Banana Split Banana Bread - it has marachino cherries and coconut in it. The other is the lime glazed coconut banana bread from cooking light! I don't think there are too many banana bread recipes that aren't yum!

I, too, have the same problem. The addition of chips is so simple and unassuming... and so deliciously perfect!
