This merry-go-round called life has been going a bit faster lately. I am not going to apologize for not blogging more often and not cooking anything terribly interesting... because, well... we all have things that happen and make it hard to do the things we most want to do to unwind.
Thankfully, this past Sunday My Husband and I had the pleasure of attending 2 events at the NYC Wine and Food Festival. I'll be sharing more on that in another post. What I want to share with you today is the fabulous Highline in NYC. We haven't had the pleasure of walking along this elevated park since it opened.
Every couple needs some time to take a walk together and see something new. Often it can be something you've seen before, but may see it with new eyes because you can take the time to really let go of the everyday responsibilities - if only for a little while.
I took so many photos while we were wandering along, the view was like a peek down into the streets of NYC. Not like when you are up at the top of the Empire State Building, but closer and almost more intimate.
If you are in NYC, add this to your intinerary. The walk will take you through the Meatpacking and Chelsea Market area. The area has been revitalized in recent years and is worth the trip. We had the pleasure of meeting someone who volunteers at this park at one of the Wine & Food Festival events we went to and she mentioned that they often have free activities for children. They even screen classic movies at night. Check out the event schedule.
Here are some more photos I couldn't resist taking while we enjoyed a relaxing walk - which was very nice after all of the nibbles we enjoyed during the afternoon!
