I'm a bit late in posting about the dessert I took to our Labor Day get-together. And, if it wasn't such a huge hit and truly decadent dessert I might have just let it go. But, once you have tried this dessert, it will be a favorite for large summer get-togethers!
| From Family, Friends and Food |
Back in August when Recipegirl returned from her fabulous beach vacation, she posted the recipe for Frozen Toffee-Caramel Ice Cream Sandwich Dessert. I was in love at first sight! With caramal, chocolate and toffee how could I resist it?
Now, this dessert looks very labor-intensive, and you can even tell your friends the hours it took to create this masterpiece. In reality, it's a snap to put together and I even had my 7 year old do the 2nd layer almost all by himself. Take the compliments and enjoy every last decadent bite! It makes a huge amount, so be sure to share with all of your friends and neighbors - they will adore you after just one bite!
And, the winner of The Gastrokid Cookbook: Feeding a Foodie Family in a Fast-Food World is comment #11 which was Joelen! She writes Joelen's Culinary Adventures, and shares tons of fabulous recipes there. Congratulations, Joelen! Enjoy this fantastic cookbook!
