I didn't realize just how long it had been since I last published a post here, and was very surprised to see it's been almost 3 weeks! I don't think I've ever gone quite that long without something to share!
This unplanned blogging break came courtesy of a fabulous vacation! We went on a cruise recently and had the best time E-V-E-R! Both boys are looking forward to doing another cruise vacation. I will be sharing more on our trip, what cruise line and how the food and excursions were over the next couple of weeks.
I got up super early one morning, just to take photos of the sun rising to start the day... it was absolutely gorgeous!
While I may not have been blogging, I have been thinking about my little place out here on the internet and after having read a number of other posts from people who have taken a moment to reflect on why they are blogging and how they are going to move forward... I've given that some thought as well...
No worries... I'm not making any crazy changes... like going all healthy 100% of the time... that wouldn't be me.... I'm also not going to just post desserts all the time... cuz, I don't make them all the time and well, we don't need to eat them all the time. I think what I need to do is post what's on my mind and let it flow naturally. What exactly does that mean? Well, some weeks it will mean a post every day, others it may just be one post... and most will still include food and recipes. There may be times when I just share a few photos that will tell a story about what's going on at the moment and is important to me. I'm also still reading quite a bit and have a couple of book reviews on the backburner that I want to share very soon. I hope that some of what I'll be posting will encourage some of you to join in and share your thoughts via the comments section or even via email. I welcome your thoughts and ideas!
Hopefully, you'll stick around to see what's happening around here... maybe even subscribe (there's a place to do that in the sidebar) so that you won't miss a new post when it appears.
For now, I'm leaving you with that beautiful sunrise up above... because real-life is calling at the moment and I'll be cooking up a storm over the next 24 hours in preparation for hosting Seder tomorrow night!
Happy Passover and Happy Easter and Happy Long Weekend! May you have some warm moments of love with your family and friends this weekend!
I'll be back soon!!!
