Black & White Cookies & A Cooking Light Subscription Giveaway!

As I mentioned on my last post about the Raspberry Swirl Cookies, I am loving the rolled refrigerator cookies right now!  I also made a batch of Cooking Light's Black & White Striped Cookies, but decided to roll them instead of slicing them.

The chocolate and vanilla flavor in these cookies is a very nice combination.  The cookies don't taste as though they are only 73 calories per cookies either!

From Family, Friends and Food
I shared these cookies with friends over the weekend and they were enjoyed by all.  I think I would double this recipe the next time around and also skip the refrigerating them prior to rolling them.  That made it harder to ensure they rolled up as tightly as I would have preferred.

If you are looking for another pretty cookie to add to your gift basekts, give this one a try this year.  You can find this tasty cookie recipe over at Cooking Light (HERE).
A couple of weeks ago, I received an email from my friend Shelby who writes The Life and Loves of Grumpy's Honeybunch asking if I'd like to help her giveaway 3 subscriptions to Cooking Light Magazine... well, I just had to say yes!  I've been a subscriber since 1997, so to be able to share this fabulous magazine with our readers sounded like fun to me!

I love getting together with my family, playing games and reminiscing
Those are gorgeous, perfectly rolled cookies, Patsy...it's been ages since I've done a cookie like this.
This is a great giveaway-I guess our favorite tradition is making cookies! Even still, it doesn't feel right if my kids and I don't make the favorite cookies.
I am already a follower of yours, and I'll mention this giveaway in my next post. Have a great day!

Your swirl is so perfect! Great job! We always make sugar cookies for Santa. I don't know how old the kids have to be before we can stop leaving out cookies for Santa?

Your cookies are so pretty! I need to start eating light after all the pounds i'm gaining from cookies and Christmas desserts!

My favorite tradition is going to a tree farm and cutting down our own tree. There's a great breakfast place we stop at first and a lovely restaurant with a fireplace that we go to after. It's so nice and cozy and makes me so happy to have this to look forward to every year!

Those look so tasty. I'll have to give them a try this holiday.

My favorite tradition is cooking with my whole family. All of us squeezed into the kitchen chatting, laughing, and cooking. Nothing like food to bring a family together.

Hi!! I'm a new subscriber and I just joined you on facebook .

My favorite holiday tradition is our Christmas Eve (really Christmas morning) egg breakfast at 2am :-) Every year for as long as I can remember we've gotten together with my dad's side of the family at 11pm Christmas Eve (after a loong nap!) we open gifts at midnight- visit for an hour or so- then my father breaks out the griddle and the table is set with fresh bagels, potato salad, fruit and pastries. We eat egg sandwiches and then finally go home for some sleep before the next day. So uhealthy, but so delicious!

Those rolled cookies look so good! I did not make Christmas cookies last year, I did some candy instead. Bring back the cookie I say! My favorite tradition is reading the Christmas story from the Bible on Christmas morning.
