An Anniversary Gift

Boy, I have a lot to share over the next few days! All good food fun! For now, I'll start by sharing that today I have been married to the best husband ever for 12 years! Hard to believe it's been 12 years, but here we are... 1 apartment, 2 houses and 2 kids later! I'm pretty lucky to have found someone who is such a perfect match for me.

This morning, I received a completely perfect and fun gift from My Husband... a hot chocolate maker, with a tin of hot chocolate mix (filled with milk chocolate shavings) and chocolate marshmallows! How cool is that? Well, if you have been reading this blog for any amount of time you know that chocolate is necessary for my well-being and happiness. Check out my cool new toy:

We couldn't wait to put this cool gadget to use, so hot chocolate was definitely in order before lunch. The instructions could have been a bit more clear, but we figured it out pretty quickly. Pour in milk, add hot chocolate mix (or hot chocolate shavings). Turn it on for about 6-8 minutes, and just wait and watch the machine do it's work. While it's working, the milk is also being "frothed". Pour it into a nice mug and begin sipping! The hot chocolate is heated to the perfect temperature so that you can enjoy it immediately without burning your mouth.

With the holidays coming up, be sure to add this to your wish lists! I know mine will be on my counter throughout the cold months ahead so that we can enjoy hot chocolate on a regular basis.

Coming up this week, I'll be sharing My Husband's bread baking adventure (yep, He baked bread!). Also, I finally conqured pie crust and made it pretty using another really cool gadget! More fun stuff is coming, so be sure to come on back often!

That sounds so heavenly! It's adorable looking, too!

I LOVE to make pie crusts, so I am anxious to see your post on that. I know it sounds strange, but making it is somewhat of a stress reliever for me... I could make them everyday!

Happy anniversary! My third anniversary was on the 11th! I have a hot cocoa maker, and I love it. It's not this same kind, but it's gotten lots of use - especially when we have company.
