Soup on a cold rainy day...

Here in New Jersey, Wednesday was a cold, rainy day. The kind of day where if you had a plan for dinner, it probably doesn't sound so good by the time you get home and need to get cooking. Needless to say that was true for me last night. After running around after work to get both boys from school, then my Oldest to his karate class I just didn't have the motivation or desire to cook. Luckily for me, my Husband came to the rescue! He made the perfect cure for that kind of day... Japanese Chicken Udon Soup. I've posted about it before, but this time managed to get a picture of it. It's really a perfect soup that just warms you down to your toes. The Napa cabbage has a bit of a pepper flavor to it and if you are a bit congested it will clear things up for you. One bowl of this soup, and you'll be ready for relaxing under a cozy blanket with your loved ones.

Happy Cook - Yes, when I know he's making this for dinner I look forward to getting home!

Lia - I know I'm lucky he makes the soup for me... he just throws it together so quickly that I can't even jump in to help!

Deborah - do give this a try sometimes, it is such a perfect soup!
The soup looks just beautiful. Well done. Especially needed on a cold day in NJ. ;-)

Parsipanny is right by where I go to train, that's in East Hanover. Any health food stores in Parsippany?
